Despite dodgy artwork which looks like a tourist's snap of Notting Hill Carnival, the content of this compilation is cool funky latin. Murena is the label belonging to Dane-boy, Morten Varano (half of Los Chicharrons and Puddu Varano; he also does Voodoo @ Herbal in London twice a month). Mixing US acts with UK ones, tracks are licensed from the likes of Masters at Work, The Idjut Boys, Tutto Matto and Tim Love Lee.
Remixes come from Fila Brazillia, Troublemakers vs. Tony Allen and, of course there's a fair representation from the man, Morten. Good thinking, a great Dane with a great brain. 4 / 5
