Varano" are Morten Varano (one half of Tummy Touch´s Los
Chicharrons) and Alex Puddu and together they make chunky downtempo
beats. There´s a large live element in the drums and instrumentation,
plus loads of Cheeky samples and Hip Hop sensibilities. Jadell lends
a remix hand, rolling things out in his heavy dub hop style. Then there´s
a more uptempo breaks-disco-funk from Los Chicharrons and a lovely chilled
house mix from Menimax. A perfect bar DJ twelve" ****
